The Aging Room Quattro F55 by Boutique Blends was the highest non-Cuban cigar on the top 25 Best Cigars of the Year of 2013. Made entirely of Cuban seed tobacco grown in the Dominican Republic, the F55 is a small-batch boutique handmade from skilled brand owner Rafael Nodal and Tabacalera La Palma cigar maker Jochi Blanco.
The Sumatra wrapper used on these amazing stick was acquired by a German Manufacture who aged the wrapper since 2003. After the economic downturn in Europe they sold the wrappers to Boutique Blends to be used in the cigar rated 95 by Cigar Aficionado which went on to become the No.1 non-Cuban Cigar of 2013. As Cigar Aficionado puts it, the Quattro F55 is “a balanced, sophisticated cigar that displays rich notes of roasted coffee bean and sweet cedar.”
The Aging Room Quattro cigars are small batch cigars made with a unique tobacco blend and constructed with superbly aged Sumatra wrappers that, quite honestly, are the component which defines the flavor and enhances the savory Havana-seed Dominican fillers and binders. Not as sweet as the original Aging Room cigars, the Quattros are on the meatier side, with earth, leather, cedar, and a smoky, nutty creaminess.
