Perdomo Double Aged 12-Year Vintage Connecticut employs a two-part aging process. First, the leaf is bale-aged for ten years, and then it is fermented in oak bourbon barrels for another two years. The faint bourbon residue that remained in the barrel produces a taste that is exceptionally flavorful. Underneath this light bourbon infused Connecticut wrapper, lays finely cultivated Nicaraguan long-fillers grown on the rich volcanic soils found on the Perdomo farm. This process and location ensure that the crop would have impeccable color, texture, aroma, and flavor.
