As such, he’s created a new brand named after his private Dorado farm in Esteli, Nicaragua. The name Dorado itself comes from how Fernandez noticed a certain golden hue to the land after he began cultivating it. The results certainly live up to the name, as the radiant Nicaraguan tobacco is on full display for every aspect of the cigar’s profile. While medium-bodied in strength, when describing the flavor, the only word that seemed to come to mind was “golden”. With four vitolas, this may be one of Fernandez’s best creations yet.
